You could also run the 2 175 watt for the entire cycle and run the 400 watt for a couple of hours to simulate noon day intensity. But slowly build up to it like maybe adding a few minutes each day.
The Coralife Turbo-Twist UV Sterilizers can hang on the back of your tank, i have mine set up right now off the powerhead in the tank. When I get the 90 gal setup off it goes from the 38 Gal. Thatpetplace.com had them cheapest, but I got mine form BigAls because they price match it and then beat...
I use Coralife Turbo-Twist UV Sterilizers. Good product, I had some haze in my tank after a couple of hours of using the corallife it was crystal clear. I have mine set up to the minimum recommended flow to kill as many parasites as possible.
I bought one of the 220 watt jebo off of Aquadeal on Ebay for $80.99 SHIPPED! Good lights. Came with 2 10k and 2 ultra actnic. I was told the jebo actnics arent true actnics, so i bought actnic 03 from hellolights the other day. I'm going to be setting up salt with the lights. But I have a 90...
The other problem is that certain type anemone host better with the clowns that are native to their area. The odds are against you on keeping anemones, in a survey 1 out of 18 anemones reached 3 years in captivity and 1 in 36 ever made it to 5 years. See if you can pickup clownfishes by joyce...
It's kind of like a picture frame that sits on top of the tank stand, then the tank bottom goes inside. I thought about the planer but that would mean tearing the frame apart and regluing it. I was thinking of measuring out 1/4"+ and marking it on the wood and then use a router set to the right...
Its a lip that the tank sits in, i figured the plastic trim on the bottom is needed. I have a feeling I'm going to have to do some cutting in the wood though.   Can't return it as it is mail order and it isn't worth disassembling it.
Well I bought a beautiful sedona 90 gallon stand and set it up, unfortunately the bottom of my tank is a 1/4" to big. Any suggestions other than cut out a 1/4"+ out of the stand. You need the bottom plastic trim for tank integrity and keep the stress off the tank, right?
I dont know, i checked on this one balloon molly still has same problem. There must be something wrong with it's swim bladder. However it was fine in fresh water.
To answer the original question of what other fish can be kept, Livebearers can tolerate some salt and guppies can tollerate more than other livebearers except mollies. I'm running about a table spoon per 5 gallon in my tank, but I know with water changes and evaporation I've lost track. The...
Another good way is chk and see what your local reef group is. I found mine through http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=80 . Be patient someone is always getting out of the hobby and selling stuff, almost always liverock. You could get ahold of small amount and not pay...
I've converted other mollies with no problem. However today I added to about to 7 gallons in a 10 gallon tank a tablespoon of salt(Instant ocean). One ballon molly, which was ill with fungus, which is gone is fine now. Another balloon molly is fine. But, the last one is floating funny, like...
