So the fish went back into the display today because the heniouscus died in the QT most likely from stress, unfortunately the fish could not stay in the qt. If you read it right then it says they will return at the end of this month.they were put it QT last month by the end of this month the tank will be empty for a little over a month, i would leave it longer but the fish are stressing out in this tank probably

update Day 18 all fish are doing good swimming around, The temperature does work for marine aquarium also so i have the empty dt at around 85-86 degrees. I tried to move the 3 tangs into a new tank but they started to get really stressed out and losing color so they went back into the original...

I do 90 percent distilled or r/o water but i had a anemone commit suicide the other night and had to use 10 gallons of tap water to try to level things out :banghead::fish2:

i have had to use tap water for emergencies and it does not really seem to hurt the tank at all i use double the recommended tap water declorinator dose and i usually use Prime. None of my fish have notices the difference and the tank is fine i just throw in some phosphate remover. I do get tap...

yeah im not trying to say that i am a genius at this but from what i have read and asked about i know a little bit. My QT is testing at ammonia .25-.50 copper 1.0 i added a little more and will retest nitrate 5.0 nitrite 0 ph 7.8-8.0

okay my dt stays around 80-82 degrees because of the lights and it didn't seem to be helping so i wanted to ask. Another question is do the fish need to stay in the copper for the whole 6-8 weeks or can i start running carbon to remove the copper in a couple weeks and they just have a regular tank?

Right, I am feeding them about every 2-3 days now as well so the tangs cant crop dust the tank. Should I turn on their light for a few hours a day or none at all? and can i give the tanks a small piece of their seaweed every few days?:dance:

i used bio foam from my dt filter to put bb into the qt as well. there is nothing in the tank except pvc pipe and the bio foam that the regal tangs like to hide in. I just did a 5 gallon water change and it is reading about .25 to .50
