    Scared to DEATH

All it takes is one fish to die to crash your tank. My bet is that the pennies leached enough copper to kill one fish and then the levels began increasing. That's when everything started dieing. Sorry for your loss. Good luck on the restart!

    DIY 58 gal. Stand underway

It's just a little extra room to set stuff like the powerhead for my closed loop, light ballasts, etc... It also enables me to fit two 24" long tanks in there for a sump and refugium setup if I decide to go with seperate ones.

    DIY 58 gal. Stand underway

I've started my stand. I'm only working on it after work for a while then switching over to resealing my tank. Here are the pics: http://reefcentral.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=46686&thumb=1 The top is only sitting on the legs for now. It is getting glued and screwed tonight!

    58 gal Lighting Opinions Needed

Here are the choices I've made. It's between two different setups which will cost roughly the same amount (within $10): 6-T5HO 39w retrofit: 3-Workhorse 5 ballast 6-reflectors, bulbs, endcaps and standoffs This would be relatively low heat and efficient system with the ability to mix and...

Looking for cheap fish in NORTH TEXAS

Try Petland in Lewisville. It is behind Vista Ridge mall in the same strip center as Bed, Bath and Beyond, Babies R Us, etc. It's at the end. They seem to have a pretty good selection and decent prices on some of the stuff.

    Yet another MH queston!

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I need everyones educated opinions. My tank is a 58 gal. Oceanic show. It is 36" long and 20" deep. I will have a 2"-3" deep sand bed cutting the depth to 17-18". I was set on doing 2-175w magnetic and ready to order when the thought hit me  Why not...

    Lighting for a 58 gal

I'm trying to decide on what lighting to go with on my tank. I've got a 58 gal. (36x18x20) and I'm going to be doing MH with supplimental PC actinics. Should I go with 2-175w or 1-250w MH? One 250w MH would allow me to go up in tank size and I could add another 250w. I don't think the 175's...
