I've been trying to catch a mantis and small gorilla crab. The glass worked for 1 mantis...and also cought every other crab I have 8) . Now the glass trap doesn't work.... my cleaner shrimp steals the bait and swims out before I can catch anything

correct me if I'm wrong...but...how are they going to warrantee that you get 10k hours out of a bulb? How do they know the use or conditions?

I would wait untill you have at least some rock and or sand for the bacteria to populate

I have the same one also...but I found my instructions sooner :P It works great...really lets you know how off the other ones are (plastic with the needle) sorry I forgot the name I use ro/di to calibrate mine...I did it once and have not had to do it again...we checked it against a digital...

thats what I figured I would do... 8am-2 blue on 9am-2 more blue on 10am-2 10k on 12pm...if needed 2 more 10k 2pm-if I used the other 10 then they would go off 4pm-10k off 6pm-2 blue off 8pm-darkness I have a 90gal tank...with the extra depth I think the shrooms and lower light stuff...

If anyone wants my Aqua C it's less than 1 year old...send me $50 shipped skimmers are like everything else...what works for you might not be right for me :D

I have a Mag9.5 on my 90. I had to add another overflow box to my tank to handle the output of the pump. It is a powerfull pump! I'm thinking about adding an SCWD to my system but I don't want to cut my flow down too much...I guess I'll have to see how it goes.

I have a nice yellow coraline on my back glass that I let attach...I go over it lightly with the magfloat now and then to try and seed my rocks with that color I have to wait and see if it works

I just bought an 8 bulb T5 retro kit from PSL on e-bay I had them use individual reflectors for each light...which is the benefit of T5 I also I had him put a set of moonlights down the center of the fixture...all for $350 to my door which isn't bad...I'll let you know the quality when I get...

I have an Urchin with MJ1200 I wasn't happy with it and now have the Coralife Super Skimmer 220... now that skimmer rocks...the Urchin had a very wet skimmate and didn't do a very good job...now I put on the SS and it's pulling stuff out the Urchin never could

I found the easiest way is to pull the rock it is in out of the tank and put it in a rubbermaid container or bucket. Tilt the container so the rock stays dry and a pool forms at the bottom of the container by useing a turkey baster to lightly spray water from your tank on the stuff you want to...

I had to return 2 Turbos that were eating my coraline. They also did a great job on alge but seemed to prefer my purple coreline.

I went out with the intention of upgrading my 29 gal. I wanted from 55-90 gal with wood stand and canopy. Trips made to 3 lfs received mixed results with 55 gal at about 3-400 and 90 gallon for 600-700 with just wood base and canopy. Called a number my friend gave me...90 gallon all-glass...

just today I paid $35- for a 40lb box of eco-complete. I have another box on order for saturday...the package has 2 20lb bags per box...I didn't think $35- was bad. Thanks for all of your help too...I lurk and read old posts and you always seem to have the answers for me :D
