It looks like it is slowly dripping from the bulkhead near the glass. I did use Teflon on all my threaded connections. Maybe I'll try and loosen it a little bit and see if that fixes the problem.

By rubber seal do you mean a gasket? If so, I have that on the inside of the tank. I also used Teflon tape on all my threads to ensure a tighter fit. Maybe I over tightened and am causing the gasket to not sit properly anymore? Now come to think of it, when i removed the bottom bulkheads he...
Hello Everyone,
I just replaced the bulkheads on my 180 gallon tank. Purchased it off a guy from craigslist. I fitted the new bulkheads and sealed them both off as this will be a freshwater aquarium. I used 1 inch ABS threaded bulkhead and capped it off with a threaded cap from Home Depot. I...
Hello All,
I have a 180 gallon tank with two overflows and an eheim 2260 canister filter. The previous owner stated he created a closed loop system with the canister filter. I just removed the bulkheads, as they were sawed off and need help putting everything back together. How does a closed...

Hello Everyone,
I just purchased a 180 gallon tank off of craigslist with dual overflows. However, the previous owner hack-sawed off the piping and I am unsure as to how I should remove the two bottom bulkheads. I have always had planted/freshwater tanks without overflows or bulkheads. Any...
For a black colored sand you can go with Black Diamond Blasting Sand. You get 50 pounds of sand for only $8 at any Tractor Supply Store. You will need to wash it once thoroughly to remove the lighter pieces that will float. Other than that it works great with a planted tank and is safe for...
