Got 2 guppies almost about to give birth. Can I put the females in a small tank by themselves and cover the floor with java moss so when the babies are born they will fall into the moss instead of getting eaten or being born in a breeder box.
Would this work or should i do something else?
Thanks.
Not sure, don't think the one at the bottom is but the one at the top might be. Look for a dark spot (gravid spot) in the lower middle of their bodies. Maybe images from the back would be better.
I have just sone a 40% water change added a half dose of alkaline buffer a turned all the lights off except for 1 a UV light and all the fish started swimming around and are really happy. I have to Ph testers. 1 says that it is 6.8 and another says 7.2.
I have a 3 week old 25 gallon tank. My Ph is at 4.5 and the guy at the aquarium said that it will just take some time to stabilize bit the problem is that it is so bad that fish are dying. I really need some good ideas. I am adding Ph up.
