Thanks S!
I added them in 2 groups 4 days apart. I feed them daily 6 out of 7 days. I have tested my tap water and the pH was 8. my filter is rated for a 75 g tank.
I figured that there should be a detectable amount of nitrites if BB was present. I try cutting back on the pwc's. should I control ammo levels with Prime?
my ammo is 2ppm. I was told that all fish in nature get constant cycles of freshwater and the freq. pwc's do not impact the nitrogen cycle, so I expected ammo to drop. but they are remaining consistently high.

All the fish are small. the clowns are 1 in. I intend on starting a 75g in the next several months. Given the small size of all the fish, I do not feel that I am currently overstocked however I agree with you as they increase in size.
I think I may have pigs, not fish.

I am going by the rule of thumb that they should eat what you put in within 3 - 5 minutes which they do. However I feel like I am feeding them too...
what is the best type of driftwood in your opinion? African? Malaysian? I am trying to decide whether I want real wood or a fake piece of wood. but I am not real big on fake stuff.
I did a fish in cycle, which I will not do on my next tank!
I did another PWC and Ammo is at 0.5 ppm.
I will look for that brand of conditioner! It would help me out a lot.
Thanks for all the guidance!
Update: (if anyone is interested)
I crushed some shells that we called at the beach last year (which had already been cleaned) and out them in panty hose last night. Today my pH is up to 7.8 and holding steady. Hopefully the bacteria will like this and return to growth mode to assist with the...
I would march yourself back up to Petco and ask that they exchange the filter with a bigger one. Tell them that you will pay the difference between the 2 but that they should have never sold you what they did. The difference would only be about $10.
I'd,
the pf10 is for tanks up to 10g. You need the tetra ex20, designed for tanks 10 - 20g. or any brand for tanks 15 and up You can always use a filter bigger than whats needed but never smaller.
