I found it easy....I took forever trying to net my fish....fast little buggers..
have the sand washed real well ahead of time and it will go a bit quicker

3 day no ammo or trites, no water changes woohoo!
im going to keep testing the water, and changing the water accordingly..
but that went smooth....no deaths and all the fish are happy
I diddnt think of sloping the sand, might do that the next time I have to empty the water, tho honestly I hope thats not for awhile LOL

yeah your right, my nitrite was high last night and again this morning
I did 50% water changes and it seems fine now, luckily im just about finished my cycle and was tested daily anyhow
I guess im on both sides of the fence, or maybe right down the middle..
I adore my fish and do all I am capable of to keep them well and happy... on the other hand if I end up with one dead despite my efforts to protect and save it, then thats what was meant to be.

haha, my dog is actually afraid of me fishtank and wont go near it...mind you he is a fairly neurotic poodle and if he doesnt know what it is he wants nothing to do with it.
my old cat is blind and hasnt paid the tank any attention yet.
maybe your dog will be the first to alert you to...
I did this this weekend and it went well, aside from rinsing the sand what took the longest was netting my zebra danios, those things are so darn quick...and I am not LOL Ignore the mess on the table....seems the fish had all my attention this weekend rofl
