The tanks by a window and gets a lot of sun light not sure if that's why my Trites are high but will keep doing water changes daily until things are where they should be.
In a 55 with 125 waiting in the wings..did a 50% water change and will keep doing daily until I see the ammonia come to 0. The tank is cycled it's been up and running for over a year. I have a eheim 2217 do filtration.
Okay so I bought 2 oscars about an inch in size. They seem to be just sitting on the bottom of the tank. When I walk over to the tank they swim over and then when it's feed time they eat and are lively. Just wondering why they seem to just hang in the corner at the bottom for now.

Okay so I recently bought 2 oscars which are currently in a 30 gal with a 55 gal HOB filter. I have a 55 in the works and I want to go with a canister filter. Any recommendations?
I have 2 firemouths and 5 black skirt tetras I have had them for about a year and I recently got a new lid. I'm thinking he light is too bright for them and it scares them when on but I just wanted to make sure my logical thinking was right and i didn't have a bigger issue on hand
Okay so I have a strange question. Whenever I turn my light on in my aquarium, the fish go to the bottom don't move much and hide but as soon as I turn it off they swim like everything is normal. Any ideas why?
