I have had these platties for 3 or so weeks and they have got big. I had suprise fry from a smaller platy wwhich i saved 5 fry. Because of this i put the 2bigger platties in a breeding trap. I.have taken a couple of pics. How long left have they got?

Ammonia can drop quite quick but the nitrites can take, what seems like an eternity!! The rock can only help!

Becareful of raising and lowering ph. If it is slightly high or low but constant it is better than having it go up and down up and down etc with these products. What level is the ph at??

Fish will always want more food so i would feed two or three flakes once a day of every other day preferably. Just think the more you feed them the more waste is coming out of them. Fish will tolerate up to certain levels of nitrite. Ammonia is being converted and it always takes nitrite...

Well they seem happy. Is it fair keeping a hamster or budgie in a cage etc or marine or other fish in a tank? If they show signs of stress i can always give them to my 180litre tank

One amano shrimp in the whole tank?? Well i have the neons and cardinals.and shrimps in there already and they have been fine for over a month

You would need to have at least 2 females really so he can spread his attention but as mentioned they aren't as colourful as males.

Different people and different experiences. Some people won't agree some will. I go off my experiences from keeping fish for 13 years and previous working in the industry. But i can be wrong lol. Also different countries have different ways of doing stuff. As for your betta keep eye on him...

Im from UK to. Some advice on here (which is.very welcome) is from American side and they do things different over there. This seems a very American site/phone app. Betta or male fighters as i call them are fine in community tank but you have to be cautious with what other fish u put in there...

The male and female bettas should be absolutely fine with each.other. Male fighters don't like huge tanks so will hide away on occasions. I wouldnt take them out. As long as the ammonia etc levels are fine then just make sure he is eating and don't worry
