Besides the natural spawn of bluegills were their color becomes more vibrant. Is there any way to enhance their color? certain foods? water temps..etc? Thanks DD

I think it would be a neat idea, but only if it were secondary or accent lighting. If the only light you have s coming from underneath, the Goldfish will only be lit from underneath, leaving most of her color in shadow. It would be kinda like back lighting in photography...except bottom...

What about those mats that go in cabinets to keep plates and dishes from sliding? They are patterned with open areas and should grab very well to both the tank and cabinet. They are low profile also keep areas rugs from sliding on hard wood floors

It depends on the size of the tank. A large tank might require a higher ammonia starting point. A small tank will not require as much..2 ppm for smaller ones maybe and 4/5 ppm for larger tanks. The filter media will only be able to hold so much bacteria.

My LFS said I would be ok with a group of Brilliant Rasbora and (blood)Tetras in my 10g tank. So got 4 of each..filtration is a HOB Top Fin 30 aqua advisor calculated that I would be overstocked with just the rasbora alone b/c they could grow to 3". wikipedia says they would get no larger than...
