i think you should give it a few days. my friend had the same problem with his tank. he rinsed his rocks but it wasnt enough, as soon as he added water it became cloudy. give it a day or two, then vacuum you gravel... itll get coudy again, but only for a day. then you should be good.
haha another question. sorry. i added a slightly larger dark male convict ( he was the dominant male at the LFS) and now he has taken over a small cave, but he wont let the female near it. is this bad? normal? also i have a pink female coming in, so then in the tank i will have 1 pink female...
i have a male marble convict and a female dark convict. i was wondering if they will mate even if they are different colors? they are young still maybe 1.5 inches in length but the female is much more aggresive and chases the male everytime he gets near. is this normal? and will they mate?
interesting. my water is amazingly clean, and i have had discus for 2 years now. the only time i had fish die was when i went to europe for 2 months and the idiot i put in charge killed 2 discus. this is THE FIRST problem i have EVER had with my fish. i will try to do the water change more...
i was using stress zyme for the biological filter. define cycling? and i vacummed the gravel yesterday. then i tested. prblem is i used my last strip so i cant see if it is better now.. :(
this just in... 1 of the 3 duscus in hiding came out to eat just now. the other 2 would not budge from behind the water dump of the filter. and the bully stayed at the bottom.
also all 3 of the newer discus hide now when the lights are on and seem stressed. when the lights are off for some time they come down and my one discus was actually all white, when the lights are on he is grayish.
i have had one for a year. 2 at once. then one last week. my levels are good, but nitrate is a little high. the pleco doesnt get near the fish. he is very big. and the white tipped shark is just like a ruby shark... but with white fins.
