    Thanks for the response! This morning it looks like the ammonia is closer to 0.25 PPM. :) Also there seems to be another rabbit snail baby in the tank!

    My Sulawesi/Rabbit snails had a baby!

    Google "Cuttlebone for Aquarium Snails". It's kind of interesting! I am also using algae wafers, although the goldfish seems to nibble most of it before the snails reach it. Mine aren't too fancy in color, they are just a muddy yellow/brown color. I'd really like to get some golden ones but...

    Sand? Using Play Sand in Tank

    I use playsand in my aquarium. Just make sure you wash it a few times to get excess dirt or debris off of it. My fish and snails like the sand. I always see the snails digging around in it and burying themselves.

    Congrats, Katie! I love Rabbit Snails. That baby sure is cute! My rabbit snails had 2 babies this week. They are much smaller than your baby, though. I have read online that its good to drop a tiny piece of cuttlebone into the water, to give the snail calcium to grow good shells. So I think...

    Waste problem in 29 gallon fish tank

    Try checking your filters to make sure they are not blocked with debris. I know with my Aquaclear, the plastic cage that holds the sponge and charcoal that the bottom will get blocked with green algae like substances, so I rinse that part off.
