    Best Live Sand?

"Oh and by the way I just ordered CaribSea Aragamax Oolitic Select Sand! 3x30lbs of sand for about $68 total incl. shipping @ Marine Depot, they price matched for me!" Can you tell me where the price match was from so I can get them to price match the same?

    No Center Brace!

I was going to put SOMETHING in there if I did it myself. But I remembered a guy here in Houston that does good work relatively cheap. He is going break the tank down and reseal it, then also put a nice center brace in. When I went to look at starting to reseal it, I noticed that one...

    No Center Brace!

OK....I have searched on here but I haven't come up with a real "answer" to my question. I recently aquired a 180G tank. Looks like about 1/2" thick Glass. Obviously an older tank but the glass is in good condition and it doesn't even have any hard water film which can be pretty bad down...

    Wow.....

This guy should not be calling himself a "Fish Dr." giving this kind of advise!!! http://www.bestpetshopdallas.com/ Sorry, but this seems like a crazy setup and a horrible way to cycle a tank!!!!

    Periwinkles?

I was mainly asking about the type of snail itself. I was actually going to see if they has a 75-150 snail package. I just have no experience with and can't find much on these snails except that they eat lots of algae.

    Periwinkles?

I was going to get some for my 125G Reef. Right now I have 8 large Turbo's that are doing decent, but I know I need more. Smaller one's would be good that can get where those monster snails cannot get. I have had good luck with the mud welk before, but they just don't seem to live as long...

    Periwinkles?

Any good for a reef tank? Would they do a decent job? I see them on Ebay and they offer like 300 for $35 and I wanted to know if they were any good. I see some people have caught them wild and put them in, but I didn't know if anybody had any experience with them.

    Cuttlefish?

They say that it is a "sepia Robertsii" species, but I cannot find anything on that particular species. Would they just eat the fish or would Coral be at risk too?

    Cuttlefish?

I did a search in the forums and didn't see much on them in the way of keeping them with other fish and in a reef. I have a 125G Reef with a Clown and a Damsel. I am thikning that they would be a meal for the cuttle fish but I don't know for certain b/c I know they mostly prey on Shrimp and...

    Cooling Fans for Hood

I was getting the 400W Fixtures so I can possibly move up later and wouldn't have to rebuy the lighting. Plus I would like to have as much lighting as possible. I guess I also neglected to mention that I also have 4 24" Power Compact bulbs in there also. Thanks for the info on your hood build.

    Cooling Fans for Hood

I was just wondering if anybody had ever tried this? I am about to put together a 125 Gallon Reef tank from a 75 Gallon Reef Tank. I am also getting 2 400W Metal Halide fixtures. The question is: 1) How high to mount the Metal Halide lights. 2) Would two of these work for...

    Enough Light?

Ok. Here is the scoop: 75 Gal Tank 4-5" DSB ~150-160 Lbs. Live rock 2 2x65 Coral Life Deluxe Aqualights = 2X130Watts = 260 Watts Wouldn't 260 Watts be divided up by approx 55 Gal instead of 75 since there is the DSB? Would you divide the light 260/55 = 4.72 Watts Per Gallon? Would this...

    Eels at LFS

I have had one for about a year now and he is awesome He only eats shrimp pellets and the extra blood worms that the tiger oscars don't eat. I had one die before but my tank wasn't very old. Around here in Houston you can get them for around $5. Def. something to start a conversation about...
