hi, my friend gave me his old tank and dry rocks(he used to have saltwater). I am going to use the tank for guppies. Can I use the dry rocks for decoration in guppy tank? Will PH level go high and be harmful to guppies? Thank you

yes i have air stone, water fall, some days I threw in couple of 1/2 gal ice bottle :). Hottest I 've seen was 87 F. They seem fine. I have water lily cover most of the surface. now I need to prepare for winter. hope no more ice storm :).

Hello, my 40gal cycled 1.5 or 2 months ago. I had 8 male guppies(male only tank). I test water every other day. 0 ammonia 0 nitrite 5 or so nitrate. I have some live plants I change water every other week. for last 3 weeks, 1 guppy die every week. tail seem to get finrot, then it stop eating...

my tank finally cycled last Sunday. it took 8 weeks. Nitrites last 3.5 weeks.

Hello everyone, I am new to this hobby. I have 40gallons. It's on 6th week of cycling. Every time(3 times) I add 2ppm ammonia, next 24hrs it went to 0. Nitrites have been above 2ppm for 2 weeks. Nitrates been "red" over a week or so. I did WC 3 times(about 90%, 40%, 40%). After every time...
