    Flowerhorn swimming in circles

Nitrate 30, nitrite.5 , ph7,hardness 300 chlorine 0. I have had him for about 3 months in a freshly cycled tank with only two plastic plants and a sandy bottom. He is alone. I stole a peek at him and he was doing that funny upside down circle swim and when he saw me he stopped. I just wonder...

    Flowerhorn swimming in circles

I have a 5" flowerhorn alone in a 55 gallon tank with sand bottom He sometimes swims in vertical circles along the back of the tank. When he gets to the bottom he turns himself upside down and hits his hump on the bottom of the tank. Is he just entertaing himself or is he in pain? Thanks

    Stocking 90 gallon

Now I have to rethink my set ups. I have a 55 gal community tank with a large kisser, a large Pleco, a featherfin catfish, and several types of tetras. I guess I will put these free fish in the 90. That will be my small parrot, my 4 Boesemani rainbows, the adult jack dempsey, green terror and un...

    Stocking 90 gallon

90 gallon stocking I think I have adequate hiding spots. I would love to have 2 of each, but think it would probably be best to just go with one each electric blue acara, spot cheek cichlid, yellow firemouth and purple parrot. Thanks for your advice.

    Stocking 90 gallon

I have a Penn Plax 1200 canister filter. I have several hiding spots. I may consider a school of pitcus cats later, but from what I read the spot cheek feeds from the bottom also. Per your advice I think I will only get one each of electric blue acara, spot cheek and yellow firemouth. I will be...

    Stocking 90 gallon

Thank you for your reply. I think my filter can handle the load and I will do weekly water changes. I'm wondering if i just put one of each in will they be happy, or do they need companionship of their own kind. If I can do single fish I may also add one each of fire mouth and yellow firemouth...

    90 Gal So. Amer stocking

Thanks for the advice. We had our hearts set on the EBJD. Now I don't know. They're too expensive at the pet store, but I see them on eBay cheap. I thought maybe I would get two on eBay and hope one survives. My hubby wants a blue fish. I can't find much info on thr electric blue arca...

    90 Gal So. Amer stocking

Yes first attempt at s. American I have a tropical 55 gal for the past 10 years, but this will be my first attempt at s.a. Chichlids. Now I'm really confused. I found some info on the web that said EBJD is easy to keep. Maybe it means if you can get it up to 3". Basically I just want several...

    90 Gal So. Amer stocking

Thanks for your advice. I think I'll go with the lemon tetra. I was looking to add some yellow. I think maybe the green severum. Do you think 3 parrots is too much? They seem to like to be in groups.
