Oh sweet! I'll have to check those out. For nitrates, regular water changes and good filter media like ploy-filters also help a bunch. that's what I put in my take to help with nitrates. The skimmer will help too. got any pics of the tank?
yeah that's what I'm thinking maybe to much light on the top? yes I did mean the DT because I I don't want something to transfer from my sump
to my DT I dont think it will, just being cautious. Other parts of the sump theres some type of matter like under neath the filter socks should I siphon it?
Well the chaeto on the bottom of the refugium looks really good and I have a lot of podes and bristleworms. on top, I do agree it looks unhealthy that's why I'm trying to figure this out. The light is some light I got at home depot with a bunch of lumens of intensity. Soon I will invest in a...
Inside my refugium it seems like my macro algae is getting overwhelmed with this diatom algae? At least I think it's diatom the tank has been running for just over a month so there is still diatoms for sure. thanks for any input!
Yeah I was thinking about that too I'm just not that great with PVC I'll probably just end up doing it anyways I just know its gonna be challenging I guess. Yes the sound is a gurgle, but since you've brought up the over flow box being a little to high that kind of concerns me.
I agree, once I started the tank up it was lower in the box now for some reason the water level in the box is higher then usual. I do have the option to increase the flow of my return pump. I'm pretty sure the lowest is 600GPH and the highest is 1100GPH not sure what it's set on right now. By...
Here's how it enters the sump start to finish.
the tape is there to block light because of my lights growing a lot of diatoms in the U-tube.
hope the pics help. let me know and I can try to take more.
Yeah I tried getting rid of the bubble, but once I start the syphon and there's no bubble eventually the bubble gets there. people are saying drill a hole on the top of it but I don't want to ruin my U-tube. plus won't that break the syphon?
