As a natural hybrid it's impossible. Maybe in a petri dish. But even then I think it's not going to work. And even if mitosis starts, the question is whether the embryos will survive.

Well, I do understand that everybody's got their own preferences when it comes to coloration, pattern and bodyshape when buying platies. But it's still such a shame that wild forms are lacking popularity. In the network I'm in, the majority prefer wild forms instead of breeding forms.
Well, using breeder fish that are of the same strain but obtained from different sources could still be far related to eachother. But that's not that important in your case. inbreeding for the first couple of generations won't result in deformities or bad quality guppies. For all breeding forms...
