    Something strange in my tank?

Cool! It must have hitched a ride on my Marimo moss balls.

    Something strange in my tank?

I think it's a snail...it has a hard shell. I removed it and put it in water...should I put it back in my tank?

    Something strange in my tank?

Hi everyone! Today I woke up and found this tiny little worm-like creature attached to the side of my 10 gallon freshwater platy tank. Any ideas on what it is? Is it harmful?

    New betta tank

Hi everyone, I started a new 5 gallon betta tank and it is fish less cycling right now, but before it gets too far along in the cycle, I was wondering if I should get a different filter. The filter the 5g has right now is an Exo-Terra ReptiClear F150 I had laying around. Would that be ok for a...

    Platy disease?

Yes, now that I think about it, the 3 platies were from the same store. I have another platy now, which I bought from a different store. She is very healthy and happy. So genetics must be the problem. Thank you for helping me figure this out!

    Water parameter test question.

The master test kit is the one I was considering, if I ended up ruling out test strips. Thank you so much for the info!

    Water parameter test question.

Hi all, I have a question...I am about to buy a new water parameter test kit, and I was wondering if test strips are easier to use than the test tube kits. Also, are the test strips as accurate? Or should I just stick with the test tubes?

    New!

Thank you! :) I have an ammonia test and a ph test, but no nitrate/nitrite test. I plan to get one as soon as I can. My 5 gallon tank's ammonia is at about .5-1 ppm. I think the ph was about 7.2. I would be doing a fish less cycle for that 5 gallon tank, but the story of the tank is kind of...

    Platy disease?

I have lost 3 platys at different times to a strange sickness. Their back started curving, but they were still lively and active. However, as their spine started looking more curved, they became less lively. This lasted probably a month or so. They eventually just became very lethargic and...

    New!

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, and pretty much new to the aquarium keeping hobby. I have one 10 gallon tank, and one 5 gallon tank. I have had the 10 gallon tank for just over a year. The 10 gallon contains 1 female platy, and 4 baby platys. Sadly, the father of the 4 babies passed away...
