its a bare bottom, looks like the aeration stirs the water and dirt up making it easier to clean through water changes without needing to siphon

my fish usually wont eat for a few days after i buy them until they get use to the tank i put them in

i use two normal led light blubs

i dont like substrate very much, i would plant them in a small flowerpot

add more aeration

added some sea shells and more pvc pipes

i tried to grow elodea but it died im going to try growing jungle val plants next

i use 2 LED bulbs i forgot what wattage they are i think like 50 watts or so they dont get hot i might buy 2 more once i get my aquarium plants

i just get my fish from petco

i got mine for like $25 or so

i use clear green plexiglass and a screen cover but there are other colors of plexiglass as well

i tried growing elodea but it died
