Got a question, I have been using cupramine in my QT tank, and the problem is with the frequent water changes (every other day or so), I never seem to get the concentrations up. If I add cupramine, can I just wait an hour or so, test and add more as needed until I reach the right concentration...

Ok, am ordering a clean-up crew soon, and am wondering how many snails/crabs to get. I have a 45 gal tank with 4" DSB and 80 lbs of LR. Also are there any snails or crabs that I should avoid? TIA

As of yesterday (10-12-03) he was still there and I actually saw the silly thing eat some flake food, I have never heard of that. Girl at the store told me that he was a pig and would eat anything put into the tank. If he is there when my 2 clowns are out of QT, think I will take a chance on him.

Might be a silly question, but could someone please explain exactly how to "target" feed a fish? Use tweezers? or something else?

Are there any other snails that will eat pods, or other beneficial fauna from DSB and LR?

If space is permitting it, I would look into the HOB style fuges that CPR makes. The in tank ones do not add any water volume to overall volume of tank, but the HOB models do. Only drawback is, they are considerably more expensive then the in tank model.

Out of curiousity what vitamin/supplement do you use for your fish?

What "brand" of copper medication do most recommend?

For what it is worth, this mandarin was about an inch to an inch and a half, so real small. Am now seriously considering this fish to buy, after 4 weeks in QT tank, he would be ready about the same time I think the tank would be ready.

I am not looking to purchase this fish or I would (tank just finishing cycling). Was more curious as to how long it would take a fish to starve to death. They have no LR at this store so, the mandarin would have to be eating for it to have been there this long? Just trying to "bank" away some...

To say i was skeptical is an understatement. Scary thing is, this was coming from one of the largest SW fish shops in the state.
