I am selling a custom made aquarium setup that is established with African Cichlid fish. It is an all glass tank and wood stand finished with a light beige textured paint. I have 7 mixed cichlids, a parrot fish, and a channel catfish in the tank. The tank has been running for over 3 years...
no live plants. ill try what you said. What do you recommend, 1 a day? Is there anything i should ad to the water like an algee destroyer or just add water and it will clear naturally?
there is no signs of algee on the gravel, glass or anywhere in the tank but I feed once a day only a few sinking pellets and some frozen bloodworms. lights are on for 9 hours a day on a timer. I dont have any direct sunlight. i vacuum the gravel about every 2 weeks when i do the water change.
i went away for a week and when i got back my tank was extremely cloudy. I did a 50% water change before i left because i started to see it was becoming a little cloudy. What is the best way about going about this to clear it up. How large of a water change is it safe to do? its A 55 gallon tank...
yes i am following the directions exact. The last 3 colors on the card are so close that i cant tell, maybe i will get a better reading in the next few days. Thanks for the compliments...i garbage picked that tank and stand and refinished it. I think it was homemade
Anyone have any thoughts on...
So Im now about 4 weeks into my cycle. Ammonia is at zero and the Nitrite should be spiking soon. Ph is normal too. I have some questions and concerns though...What would be a good setting for my light timer? When should it turn on and off rather? So far I have not turned the light on at all...
did a 30% water change. got the ammonia to 4ppm and nitrite is now at .25ppm after 1 full week. The ph is still high at 7.6, should i add ph down at this point or will it go down on its own?
