Need some help stocking my tank

No jewels or demasoni! Jewels aren't African lake cichlids. They're from rivers. Demasoni can be crazy aggressive. Mine were only toward each other but I lost them in power outage.

Need some help stocking my tank

Very nice peacock! I'd keep him and add more in two batches. I'd trade the rest in for credit! It's more pricy but I think going for an all male peacock tank would be both your best option and amazing looking! Also FYI, paint the back or add a background. Being in front of the window will grow...

    Cool dither.

It's possible one day all will change. More likely than not! BUT... If you keep am eye on them just be ready in case. Stranger things have happened! The zebras would be full grown already so I think you could be ok an get lucky! It's a cool mix color wise! Post some pics!

    Cool dither.

What size tank as well? JD do ok w dithers and zebra/Africans do not

    Cool dither.

Sorry to say the JD and zebras won't work together in the long run. It may be ok now but the zebras will likely kill off the JD once they mature. I'd choose one or the other and build around that species.

Help me ID my fish please

I personally would trade in all fish to the local store and determine which way u wanna go. Malawi mbuna or peacock is the direction I'd go. Starting with a couple batches of mbuna is the way I'd go. Adding mbuna to a tank with long established ones is asking for trouble IMO. I'd pick the 3...

    210g HELP

Maybe consider moving the jack and jag to the 210 and adding to it and making the 55 African? Jag and jag won't live together in a 55 for too long. Jag will want the entire tank for himself. Maybe a chance of it if they've grown together but doubtful. 55 is too small for a single jag really...

    Bowfront tank for Cichlids?

Ha. Some I got at pet store but most was from landscape supply store/yard. Each week after water change I add a couple teaspoons of cichlid salt and cichlid buffer. Also have 40 lb or aragonite sand mixed in w pool filter sand on bottom. That keeps ph about 7.5 without even the little buffer...

    Mbuna cichlids

Andrews the man when it comes to mbuna. In 55 I'd do species only tank of saulosi. Mes and females get great color but I've had difficulty keeping them alive for unknown reasons. Another fish u could do is cynotilapia hara white top. Males and females look great also. Or u could do the yellow...

That looks great! The current led is an awesome light! How about some juli marlieri and black calvus? Or are you looking to some less common types?

    Bowfront tank for Cichlids?

Planted a risk. I started with a 72 gal bow front and it worked great. Here's an old pic. U can go about 20 fish if u keep the smaller species.

    Holding!?

Awesome I know you've been trying hard! Congrats. Fingers crossed, my hongi spit in tank while I was away and I still have babies hiding in there! Here's a vid where u can see the pebble pile I added for small hiding spots. They are using them to my amazement and big fish can't get em...
