I moved house with my 90g in August, so now it's had time to stabilise, I want to start building my stock levels up.
I currently have
1 x Koi Angel
7 x Lemon Tetra
1 x Green Dragon BN
5 x Sterbai Cories
5 x Oto
I am thinking of adding a school of around 10 Diamond tetra but I'm stuck between...
Around a week or two ago I noticed that one of my lemons has developed a bent spine. I did a bit of research and really scared myself a bit (my never Google your symptoms rule will now apply to my fish).
He has no other symptoms, he's swimming fine, eating well, no loss of colour or wounds...
I'm starting to realise that myself. I've looked at loads of photos and how to posts but still no clue. I'm pretty sure fish 2 is male but that's as far as I can get.
They seem to have split the tank into thirds and each have their own patch right now so it could be worse.
Ok, I'm not ashamed to admit I have no clue and would appreciate some help please.
I asked my aquatics shop for one male and 2 female bolivian rams but after getting them home I think at least 2 of them are male.
Can anyone help me out with sexes from the pictures below.
Mine is on a power strip with built in surge protector and never had any issues. Just don't forget to put drip loops on all cords so any water doesn't hit the plugs
I just hold my siphon a little bit above the sand and move it in little circular motions to stir up the debris lying on the top without moving the sand
I use cheap pool filter sand I got off eBay and they love it. If you can see it in person before you buy just try rubbing a little bit between your hands, if it hurts you it will probably hurt them
I can second the above from experience. Spend hours rinsing playsand only to have it make a catastrophic mess when I got it in the tank.
Switched to pool filter sand, swirled it in a bucket of water to get rid of any dust and it was great. Not sucked up by the filter or syphon when doing water...
When i was feeding this evening I noticed that one of my sterbai cories had a badly ripped tail and on closer inspection he has a white patch just behind his dorsal fin.
I've not had much experience with fish illness/injury but my fist panicked thought was that it looks like columnaris but it...
My tetras will do the same to my cories wafers if they get a chance. I use Hikari micro pellets for the tetra and sprinkle these at one side of the tank so they all rush to the surface for them, then I drop a couple of Hikari sinking wafers in the other side for my cories. The tetra are usually...
