I really don't think it's calumnaris. The fish would already be dead. Calumnairs speeds up with heat and usually kills in just a couple days. It leaves cotton like tufts near mouth, I didn't see anything like that.
I also agree not to use any peat moss. Leave your pH alone. I've been keeping...
Pleco's really like to have space. They are mostly nocturnal so that's why he's more active when the lights are off. At the moment, you won't be getting natural behavior. Once he's in an adequate tank, you'll be able to observe normal behavior.
When you add bottled water, you are messing with the pH of the tank, this can cause pH swings. That may have stressed them out. Also, carbon will absorb medications and prevent your fish from getting the proper dosage. Carbon is great for once you've completed treatment and you want to get all...
With a pre-set heater, medication is your best bet. 75 is a little low, probably why the fish have Ich. Personally, I don't think a salt dip is necessary. I'd give the meds in the tank some time to work before you go to that.
How long are you leaving your filter off? Without the filter running...
I forgot to mention that an air stone is important when raising temperatures. The warmer water gets, the less oxygen saturated it becomes. If you've already got an air stone then you'll fine.
I don't think large water changes are an issue. Discus keepers routinely do 95% water changes and Discus are some very sensitive fish. I've been doing 50% or larger water changes for years without issues, I find that it helps with spawning in many species. If something induces spawning, I don't...
Ich is really easy to get rid of. I've never had to use chemicals to treat it. Just raising your water temperature gets rid of it. What is your current temp? Very slowly raise the temperature of the tank (I like to take a couple days to raise it) to 84-86 F. Should clear up the Ich in a 1-2...
Soap is very toxic to fish. It breaks down their slime coat. I'm not sure if it would kill them that quickly though. I usually just rinse my hands if they are relatively clean already. If you want to use soap, rinse super well. Soap can leave a residue on your hands so I try to rinse extra good...
I'm not seeing anything that screams bacterial or fungal infection. I'd try the parasite treatment. Also, do you have any decorations in the tank? Tall fake plants will help your angels feel more secure.
For the fish that you've got, no not really. Using chemicals to adjust pH and hardness causes swings in the levels, which is very hard on fish. Leaving it alone is much gentler. I've got pleco's and bettas in a pH of 8.4 with absolutely no issues. A more important thing to worry about is either...
pH really isn't that big of a deal as long as it is stable. Nitrite and Ammonia will both be zero in a cycled tank. For nitrate anything below 40 is fine, preferably below 20.
I keep a sponge filter running in a tank that has fish with it. Then if I need to QT, I set up with QT tank and pull the sponge filter over. Then you don't need to worry about cycling.
