    Another newbie :-)

Well, welcome from a fellow newbie! I live in north country now--west shore line but still go back inland occasionally.

I see you're location is listed as "Lansing Area"--is that Lansing, Michigan? I'm originally from there.

    Fish Newbie

I found that out when as a super-noob to aquariums my original few guppies died except for one female. I just left her in there and lo-and behold! 2 months later there were little ones swimming around. Since then, the tank exploded with new births! I still have that female--I call her...

Seems like I remember "Chinese" in the name--but I've forgotten. Thanks! I could use advice on the angel fish. I don't know much about them except they're sensitive.

I have: ~~a bunch of guppies (estimate 18--ten or so are fry and I suspect may get consumed). ~~3 Neon Striped Danios ~~3 Angel Fish--they are very small (less than a quarter size) and are temporary--I know they need space as they grow. ~~1 sucker--not sure what kind he is--anyone know?

    Feeding

I read on the food packaging to feed several times a day. I really don't want to overfeed--how many is "several" and how much at a time? I've just been feeding once a day at night only enough to be entirely gone within 5 minutes--am I starving my fish? Would they do better with more? So far...

    Fish Newbie

I "seeded" the new tank with the filter and some items from the old tank and let it sit with a couple fish for a while...it seems to have worked well, no deaths in the week since the transfer of all but four of the guppies. Thank you both for the welcome!:-D

    Fish Newbie

:n00b: Hi all, I was referred here by a friend on another forum--she's says this is the place to learn lots of good stuff about caring for fish and their environment. I have a 10 gallon where my guppies breed uncontrollably, and a new 29 gallon freshwater. Felicity
