my one is super small just got him and iv never had any issues he likes to jam him self in down the side of the filter but he easily comes out and swims of when hes searching for food maby cover the filter with a stocking of your over concerned as suggested above but all and all mines been fine

never heard of them iv heard of a tire track eel which im pretty sure ziggy is. then a fire eel but never a fire track lol

yea would make them less of a threat when they get bigger he was feeding out of my hand earlier. really glad i got him called him ziggy

got my self a little tire track eel recently. he seems allot more intellegent than other fish he certnly seems to know me and feeds from my had just wondering if any one else have ones that seem more intellegent ?
