The New Marine Series by Marineland

Wow, I would definitly buy one. Love the entire package. Even the filter system is pretty cool. Not sure about 150 watt MH lighting. Maybe 250 watt. Marineland looks like they have been listening to the needs of today's hobbyist. That system is really cool.

Hi, I'm new and this is my tank

Thank you. My next upgrade is my camera. It just doesn't do the tank justice. Dallas fan, huh? GO EAGLES! Still upset by last week's game. That fumble between Mcnabb and Westbrook cost us the game.

Hi, I'm new and this is my tank

Just a couple updates, I upgraded my hardware recently and decided to get rid of the Coral Life Super Skimmer and Marine Land Bio-Wheels. I was not getting consistency from the skimmer with the rise and fall of the water level due to evaporation. That and I accidentally broke the air-in valve...

    Nano temp??

There is a great cooling probe made for smaller tanks that is very affordable. It works well for tanks up to 20 gallons. IceProbe Thermoelectric Aquarium Chiller - 4 in. x 4 3/4 in. x 7 1/2 in. | Probe Aquarium Chillers | Chillers & Accessories | Aquarium - ThatPetPlace.com It's called the...

My Stocking Plans For The New Tank. Comments?

Hey Pat, If it were me, I would throttle back a bit. I would ditch the Starki Damsel at all costs. I would do a group of 3 chromis and not two sets. I would limit to 1 Clarki Clown and maybe consider a Midas Blenny in the mix. Awsome fishy and reasonably priced....tons of personality.

    Identifying Coralline Algae

I beg to differ with you. I have to work a razor blade somf'n fierce to get it off my glass. At first you go..."Ooh pretty" but over time end up wishing you could contain it... Case in point below

Hi, I'm new and this is my tank

Here are some updated pics. I added a golden ricordea and rearranged some things. I decided to go with the 2 Island theme. I did this because I had to rip the tank apart to get to a couple of Emerald Crabs that were tearing up some of my LPS. I traded my Bicolor Angel and Oci clown because...

what type of fish is perferrable for a beginner

In my opinion, there are a lot of great beginner fish. And bottom line, whether you are a beginner or expert, these fish are held in high regard: Royal Gramma's stay a good size for a smaller tank. Afforable and hard to match the colors. Clown fish are a great choice. I prefer to keep one...

Hi, I'm new and this is my tank

The Lights are two T5 ho (1 6500k/1 Act 03) and 1 T5 Normal output. I just have a coral life 65 hanging on the back. It's not the greatest but does produce skimmate. I also use Rowaphos and carbon in the biowheel over flow. The wheels are caked with Algae so I like to think they act as a "Turf...

Recommend a Good Source for D/I Water (Maryland)

Hi All, My Ro/di system is about shot. I have a smaller reef tank (33Long). I figured, I could do freshwater top offs from tap water instead of replacing the unit...I'm Broke. Bad idea! Corals are starting to show the effects and back to pure it is. Can anyone point me in the direction...

Nice weather for a gettogether (did that just rhyme?)

There is also an incredible place called Roozen's Nursery off 495 by Andrews Airforce base. It is a haul but you won't believe your eyes. Two German owners that have more salt fish and corals than most. Everything s kept in a green house out back a large nusery. Unreal setup. I'm in for the...

    125 reef build

Great tank, you must be a proud pappa cccapt...quick question. When you are dealing with the kind of heat generated from 3 halides, I see that you ran water to your basement for gravity and cooling effect. But when you build a canopy out of wood, do you coat the interior of the canopy with a...

Hi, I'm new and this is my tank

Few more pics Kenya tree Blue Mushrooms I know they are common, but they are so vibrant and eye catching to kids Crocea perched on a rock. Amazing the color differece when you look down from the top as opposed to through the galss. Looks more like Emerald green. Greenies and the camera...
