- I currently have a juvenile (1.5 inch) salvini cichlid growing in my old community tank (30 gallon) where he will remain until my summer 2014 100 gallon minimum tank build. I have been in the hobby personally for 4 years however my father always had fish when I was growing up. I have as stated above kept community aquariums with some less aggressive cichlids i.e keyholes and a very docile blue acara. I now plan to keep an exclusively SA/CA cichlid tank with a medium sized South American based catfish.
