Free: Free Hornwort, just pay shipping

Hello AA, My pond has recently exploded with hornwort and I simply need to get rid of most of it. I will be shipping orders in sandwich bag portions, so in the comment/PM, let me know how many bags you want. You just need to pay the shipping cost, which will vary on how much hornwort you want...

Cheap Low Light Setup For Rack

You can't really compare watts of LEDs to other lights because they were made to save energy with the same output in the first place. I would go for what Bradbury said or those LEDs. Both are cheap but LEDs last longer. I used the large LED bulbs from Lowes and they worked well too.

    Fluval Chi Shrimp Tank log

Looks great! The baby tears have filled in nicely. What shrimps do you plan to get?

    Crayfish?

Yeah I would not recommend keeping them with plants and fish. If you have a big enough tank or pond you can keep them there. My pond is big enough for my koi and crayfish to get along. Only the fastest growing plants will be able to survive the crayfish. They will eat the plants both alive and...

    Planted 10 gallon tank

In a 10gallon, a single finnex planted+ should be sufficient. Are you planning to dose ferts or co2?

    heater question

Yes, people tend to do that just to make the tank look better overall. I usually like to put it near the intake/output of the filter.

    Plant name ????

Like coursair said. I would do walstad or something similar. Get some soil on the bottom. It will help the plants if you don't want to use ferts/co2. Sent with my fingers

    Co2 time? Constant or intermittent?

Yeah I would get a drop checker as well. I usually don't risk running the co2 24/7 because you never know what may fluctuate. I would hate to wake up to a tank full of gassed fish. Don't run the airstones at the same time as the co2. The air will just dilute the co2. I would shut off the co2 an...

What do I need to do?

Yes I would also do that. Get a small colony of rcs. I think it's because of the Java moss that the aquascape looks a little messy. I would get some xmas, flame, or Taiwan moss. Those are less aggressive and look better too. Sent with my fingers

    adding liquid carbon

Dosing twice a day is usually necessary. One when the lights come on and the second during the afternoon. That's what I usually do. Sent with my fingers

    Plant identification

No it is not guppy grass. I believe it could be limnophila aromatica.

Just got a co2 setup now what...

A diffuser is the cheapest way to go. But inline gets the co2 more diffused into the water. Do the opposite of what you suggested to run the co2. Run it when the lights come on but stop it an hour before the lights go out so that the plants will take in the co2 and you won't gas your fish...

    Driffwood arrangement

Second to last like everyone else said :) Sent with my fingers

    My project

I would also switch out the filter. Having a canister will make the tank look better than having hob filter. Fluval, sunsun, marineland, and api are a few of the companies with good canister filters. Make sure it is not too powerful for your tank. I wouldn't cover the rocks in moss because the...

    My project

Don't boil the rocks. I had seiryu stones and only needed a quick rinse. Ph was stable after I put them in. For the wood though, I would definitely boil it. It gets rid of the tannins and allows it to stay at the bottom by itself. Like the other person said, what are the 4 airstones for? If...
