Do you replace anything or how do you do your media?

I'm in the process of setting up a 10 gallon tank and I'm stuck between the aqua clear 20, penguin bio wheel 100, aqueon 10, or this tetra whisper 10i I have laying around, I'm trying to keep the media costs cheap and I want your guys 2 cents on which one I should get :)

Do you think 1 dwarf gourami with 10 male guppies and 2 ghost shrimp is a good stock? Or to much?

I've been checking out the fluval c2 and the aqua clear, the aqua clear has foam, it says to replace it every 2 months, carbon monthly, and biomax every 3 months and I've calculated that to be kinda expensive compared to my regular filter, the fluval has the foam, says 4-6 weeks, carbon 4-6...

I like the male fancy guppies, and the dwarf gourami, ghost shrimp, mystery snails, however I don't know if they are all compatible how many to get, or how much room ill have left over :confused:

Hello everyone I'm converting my 20 gallon tall gecko tank into a fish tank and getting rid of him, I'm wondering what filter you guys recommend? I've been checking out the tetra whisper 10-30i, marineland bio penguin 150, and the aqua clear but I want suggestions from the pros, also ideas on...

Well I researched it and supposedly they will hatch in brackish water, but I didn't think I had a male female couple since nothing has happened in months, anyway if they are eggs I'm sure they won't survive with my fiddler crabs in there :(

This is actually brackish water, it's my fiddler crab tank:cool:

:confused: I have 4 fiddler crabs, feeder guppies, and 2 mystery snails, and I think they're zebra snails 2 of them :confused:

The ones I've found are: 1. Petco power filter 10 2. Quiet flow 10 has 4 stages? 3. Aqua tech 5-15 Unless you guys have other ideas from like amazon or google tell me what you think :)

Ok, I heard you can do 10 cherry shrimp per gallon and 5 ghost, so I was thinking maybe 5 of each, the beta, a snail, either mystery or a nerite, and do you think there would be room for 1 African dwarf frog?
