Flakes were just added at the time. Its already been changed and vacuumed. Tank is two or so months old but the gravel was sitting in the tank for half a year.

My 7 Danios are zipping around my 50g tank chasing two of the danios, I had a closer look and the two being chased have red bellies, one worse than the other. Am I over thinking this or are they nibbling on these fish?

Fish in cycle. 8 danios, one death, the smallest danios, happened when my nitrite first spiked, so now 7 danios. Today 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate, I'm cycled.

I did a partial water change, I took out 6 gallons and added 10 back since the water level dropped over the week. This was Saturday.

I test close those instructions, only difference is I don't shake the bottles. I did as you instructed though, I think the test came out the same.

Just so people can see, its been two days since I tested. I think I can see a slight Nitrate tinge? They're in order of the chart, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate, then the two pH's together.

For the fishless cycle I was adding fish food (tetramin) as instructed by FishLore forums guides, I'm not sure if that works though.
These were readings before even having plants.
