Thanks FishCrazy, I don't think live plants are for me. Right now things are going well and i'd be too scared to test my luck. Plus I'm cheap and don't want to spend money on lighting :-p
I think both arguments have their pros and cons, I started a fishless cycles dosing ammonia trying to keep it near 4-5 ppm. I have a 55g non planted. I am not a biologist so I can't tell you how much ammonia your fish will leave, let alone uneaten food or any other thing that could be a...
I have my tank fully stocked and stable at this point, I cant seem to snap any good pics where fish are not blury. I have 35 Neons in there with 5 Habrosus Corys. I lost a couple of my first few fish. I'm not sure why excpet for the fact that they were fully grown and maybe the transition was a...
I just thought of an Idea that might be good. Not sure so I'll ask. I have those small pond snails in the tank and they are multiplying. I was thinking of maybe taking 3 or 4 small ones and crushing the shell. Would my Tetras like them and eat them? Are they healthy?
In the article I used for information it also said to Keep the tank dark since light can cause algae bloom but more importantly the bacteria are more efficient in the dark.
if I got anything frozen, I'd take a small piece or cube melt it in tank water and strain it. Then feed a bit and toss out any extra. I don't want all that cube juice giving me more algae than I need anyway. :) Bloodworms it is I guess. I'm afraid the brine might be too big for them anyway...
All banning them will do is create more appeal and a black market IMO. I am against regulating most things but a small regulation (permit) to help save the environment wouldn't be a big deal to most Aquarists and enthusiasts... Right? Don't get me wrong, last thing I want is an invasive...
My Neons are doing well. I have decided to keep the group at 35 in my 55g. They are all doing well. They seem to have bright colors and quite healthy, I have been feeding them TetraMin Tropical Crisps and about 1/8 of a Hikari Sinking Wafers so My Corydoras Habrosus can have some food too...
German Blue Rams I believe. I might be wrong, but I thought I'd give you a quick response. I'm sure the experts will correct me if I am wrong.
Tropical Freshwater Aquarium Fish: Ram, German Blue
I believe the Atlantic City Aquarium has native species exhibits. How far are you from AC?
"Fish of the Mid-Atlantic Ocean
25,000 gallon exhibit features a variety of sea creatures native to the waters off of NJ, and the rest of the Mid-Atlantic region. Ranging in size from the big to the...
Agreed, but I don't want to be taken advantage of either if most people give them away (according to the other poster). Since CatatonicBug showed some interest I am willing to pay the initial offer. :D
Do you still have any? I can't find any locally and 9$ isn't going to make me or break me. Maybe you'll be nice and charge me 7$ for 15 including shipping since nobody else is biting:eyes:
