try this.... you can float the cuccumber either make a slit in the cuccumber and insert an algae wafer or lay it on top of the cuccumber. He might not no wha it is yet. I think someone mentioned bogwood maybe id would get some of that as well for him. Ive never had a problem with my pleco...
i know for a fact the snails will the hermits ........................... not sure about them but they will clean up any excess food that eventually gets trapped under the sand.
I heard of a snail that latches onto others and drills a hole in the other snails shell to eat them not sure if this is happening but you should know it is out there
why would they have to hire anyone? Use the customers. If numerous calls are made about a particular store you could send someone out to investigate (almost like an Auditor). Whether or not that is cost effective or could judge the care im not sure about. Im just think saying that LFS are better...
WEll LFS owner is a liar first off. Ammonia will kill a fish whether or not its hardy. I would check your water first off. Is there any other fish in the tank? I f so he could be eating the left overs from them. if not i would try other foods
yes by why not save the fish when you can? Maybe there should be a level that not just fish but all animals need to keep at. Then no matter if it was a LFS or chain store the animals health and safety are kept to an adequete standard

I have a shoal of 8 tiger barbs and I too have one tiny guy but he fits right in and chases the bigger oens too. Not really sure maybe the group is intended to have a small one?
my bad I commented as though we were discussing a common pleco which get at least 12 inches long. clown pleco would be fine in the 10 gallon. I have a common pleco and when I read the reply I was thinking common not clown

You bet. They are fun fish and really do swim like schools of fish. They're fun after eating they all swim against the the filter current. Not really sure why although it might be because i drop a little food there for the yo yo loaches to get. They are fast eaters and try to gulp everything. I...
