That is great. I have 5 tanks, which also have large fish. Have had them for years now and no fish have died. No need to do that many water changes at that %.
IMO that is a waste of water. Your water bills must be through the rough.
So we placed some cucumber tied to a piece of wood in our 90gal cichlid tank for the two plecos, one common and one gold spot sailfin. So far they haven't touched it but the 3 clown loaches we have love it! That are all over it.
They are practically inside the cucumber getting the yummy bits...
Just thought I would share this cool picture. He has never sat there like that before in the middle of the pad but I thought it was a good photo op!
Cheers!
Yes, it is very nice. We are quite happy with it so far.
There were a couple others that were about $150 that we loved but just too much!
Our prized pleco is a gold nugget named locks. Like Goldie locks! Haha.
Should be some pics in my posts somewhere.
Awesome, thanks for the info.
I bought another little pleco today for our 30gal hexagon, it is only about 1.5" long and was called a high fin spotted pleco.
What is the difference between the high fin and sail fin?
Just bought a new Sailfin pleco yesterday and wasn't paying enough attention to ask what type it was. Here is a pic. Hopefully you guys can be helpful! His fin has some damage from other fish at the LFS picking on him.
It should heal up just fine, given none of the fish in our tank bug...
It is easier!!
We have converted all but one tank to sand. The vacuum doesn't suck it up with the normal attachment but it moves it around.
I think less stuff gets under it and a lot of the bottom feeders prefer it. It's easier on them!
And it looks more natural, IMO.
And if you have live...
