    my mini will slow down/stop occasionally and I just clean the impeller and run some water through my intake hard and it works fine again.

    you can boil out the tannins in the wood before placing it in the tank and it wouldn't brown the water

    from what I've heard they catch and eat about any fish you keep in the tank with them, so you'd have to set up a species tank

    I boiled my driftwood for about 12 hours total, then sunk it and weighted it for about a week before it would sink.
