    Mandarin Dragonette question

The problem with Mandarins is that they mainly eat pods. Some will eat prepped food like frozen brine shrimp, but it's rare. They also eat a lot. A LOT. From what I've been told by people much more knowledgable than me, and from my own observation, if the Mandarin eats flatworms... it's more on...

Tiger Barbs not eating and being shy.

Yes, the cichlids were moved. I think you were right about them getting used to being the big fish now. They seem to be getting more active, though they still like that corner. Unfortunately... one of them died today while I was at work. Sad.... :(

african cichlids---got 5 with pics (blurry pics)

My Kenyi looked like (similar to) those blue ones when they were small. You may have gotten those. But I'm not sure, the pics are blurry. And like you said, several blue ones look very similar.

A few quick questions about a Cichlid tank.

Ok, so here's my tank setup so far. (excuse the poor quality... all I have is a camera phone) ViaAqua 150 gallon glass aquarium and stand. (Model 180 I believe) This came with a hood that holds 6 25w 14000k florecent bulbs. And a wet/dry filter with 5 chambers. 2- 300w ViaAqua Titanium...

    Quick question.... well actually two.

One more question. For Java Moss... do I need something like Eco-Complete? Or would just sand be fine? And do they need to be fertilised? (ok, so I lied about the one question thing)

    Quick question.... well actually two.

    1) I have a 150 gallon tank, I don't want it heavily planted. Just some Java Moss, and maybe some Anubias (sp?) The hood that came with it is currently holding six 14000k 25w florecents (sp again?). Is that enough lighting? 2) Would CO2 injection be required for this? Oh, and the plants...

    ARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! Pissed off today!

Recently, I actually semi-educated the guy who runs the fish section at my Walmart. You know, basic stuff as far as care and some fishe's that could not be mixed. Also which ones require large tanks. He was glad for the advice. He said that when he was hired, they just stuck him back there and...
