Will a 2.5 gal HOB refugium on a 29 gal FW lightly planted tank help my nitrate problem?
I have a heavy bio load. 8 platys, 6 small albino cats, 2 zebras, 3 blk mollies, 8 neons.
Odessa Barbs
I only have the barbs in my tank 2 days so far but everything looks calm so far. Just a note, the barbs I bought are small. 2 male and 3 female.
I have a 29 gal some live and some plastic plants. Have 4 small cory cats and 4 small dino zebras. Just brought home 5 odessa barbs ( about 1.5 in)
How long till I can add several more odessa?
Thanks---
Just moved to Ohio and have very hard water. Tested GH 250-300. Will Cardinal tetras adjust to this? I know most of these fish are wild caught and come from soft water areas. What kind of softing pads can I use?
Thanks for any ideas.
Yep---- dwarf rainbows. They get to a max of 2.5". I was thinking 6-8 rainbows and about 10-12 cardinal tetras. You think black gravel is the way to go?
Well after lots of input from this sight I am going with a group of neon rainbows and cardinal tetras. Mix of real and plastic plants, driftwood and maybe a rock or two. I'm thinking black gravel or something very dark to show up the fish. How many of each fish and should I put all rainbow males...
Setting up a 29 gal tank to keep large school of tiger barbs. I have heard putting a yellow labid in with them will keep them in check. Is this true and would I put a male or female in. How many barbs can I keep in a 29 gal.
Thanks:)
