we have both had tank in home as and then since 1984 when we took up again

both use U G filters with power heads, emperor bio-wheel back filters, and marinland magnum 350 canister filters.
both 2 36" single bulb florescent lights
one is a viable breeding population of african cichlids and one old old chinese algae eater.
the other has 2 jewel cats, 20 or so neon tetras and 20 or so mix of fancy black skirts and plane black skirt tetras.
one very good algae eater i got a year ago that looks like a stick and don't remember the name of and a population of tiny snails
