Hi! I have a biorb classic 60 aquarium and was wondering how I could update the filter. Could you take out the middle mechanism and replace with a caf 25 sponge filter? Any ideas or advice is appreciated! Thank you!

My fault for not doing research ahead of time. If these both die, what other small fish would be better to keep? As me and my kids have grown quite attached to them already! They're so fun to watch.
