It's happening on Wednesday, 6/3. We were given less than a week notice. ? I'm currently running an Fx5 and an Fx6. I'm hoping to keep those alive but I'm not sure how besides just taking the media out??
Hey guys,
I'm hoping that I can get some feedback here, and I'm sure there might be threads out there discussing this, but I have a more specific question. So my house is getting Tented. It's bad business all around, but I have a 75G and a 120G that both have fish in them, and I unfortunately...
Hey jlk! Long time no chat.
To answer your questions, he mainly has them on the one side, though he has one on his other side just above his lateral line. I would say about half the time he is 'laying' on one side or the other. Though like in the picture, he tends to hover above the gravel...
He doesn't have any other symptoms, other than he was rather lethargic. However I've heard that the larger BGKs get, the less active they tend to be.

I've heard bad stories about using melafix and Maracyn on BGK, so I'm worried about using them.
And those actually aren't old wounds. It's weird, and I don't know how to describe them, but they just seem to be white patches on his skin that are slowly spreading. They aren't fuzzy nor look like...
Hello fellow fish lovers! I think I have a pretty serious problem with by Black Ghost Knife. :nono:
I have moved him to a smaller tank in the hopes of treating him, but these are the parameters of the tank that he was in:
Tank Parameters
125 gallons
Temp: 83 degrees
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate...
Right now i'm planning on comets, but might get some Koi. Im just concerned that with no way to flush the pond that the water will have to be changed much more frequently than if there was a drain. California has some pretty strong water restrictions, especially in San Diego in the summer.
That is pretty much what I'm looking to do, except longer! do you happen to have the build specs for yours? Though I read some of the posts, and you said that you didn't put in a drain. how do you go about cleaning the crud out of that? That is a major concern I have with something as large as...
This is where we were talking about putting it.
The Hawthorn will be removed, and the pond put there. The fencing is being replaced this summer, so it will be on the opposite side of the pond. You can see that the area isn't very wide. It's wider than 3 feet, but we want it displaced from the...
We almost never get freezing, but during the summer it will regularly get above 100 degrees. Oy. The water evaporation will be tremendous, that's why I was looking for some feedback. :-) if you could post some pictures, that would be great!
I know this won't look natural at all, but I want it...
Hey guys, So my family and I have been thinking about this for a while, and we have decided that we want to put a pond in our yard. The only problem is, we live in Southern California, and Our backyard is seriously dried riverbed/bedrock. So my parents decided they wanted to do a completely...

Here's a link with basic information in these guys. My rainbow shark got just over 6 inches, but they are very active swimmers and need A LOT of horizontal swimming space. They are also known to be bullies and do...
The rainbow shark is much too large to be in a 25 gallon tank. They grow fast and are pretty aggressive in my opinion. Do you have a liquid testing kit such as the API master test kit? If not I would suggest investing in one. You will need to be doing AT LEAST a 50% water change or more every...
