    Brown algae?

Lately I've been noticing brown patches/spots around my 5 gallon aqarium. I can't quite figure out what it is...could it be brown algae? If so, is it harmful for my fish? Here's a picture of the brown spots:

Please help, my Molly is acting strange.

Actually both the mollies keep going face up at the surface. I just did a 40% water change but before the water change the ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0 and nitrate was around 40ppm. The nitrate should now be lower. The temperature is also 4 degrees lower. My platies also keep poking the mollies...

Please help, my Molly is acting strange.

I have a 5gallon that finished cycling and I have two platies and two mollies. One of my molly is pregnant and she is swimming head up, is that a sign that she is going to have her fry soon or is she ill?

Thanks for your answer. The store isn't open tomorrow and I didn't feel like going on Tuesday so I just went out today and got 2 mollies and 2 platies. :)

Is my fish tank done cycling?

My 5 gallon fish tank has been cycling for over two weeks now. Yesterday around 4pm I added 9drops of ammonia. Today I didn't add any and when I tested the ammonia and nitrite, both are 0 and when I tested nitrate it is 5-10ppm. Is my tank done cycling and ready to add fish?

As of today, the ammonia is 3-5ppm and the nitrite is around 3-5ppm also. Do I start adding 4 or 5 drops of ammonia now or do I keep adding 9? I'm a...

    The ammonia is very high?

I thought you were supposed to add the same amount each day because the ammonia is supposed to decrease and then the nitrite rises etc?

    The ammonia is very high?

I just tested the ammonia and it reads that it is between 1 and 2 ppm and I added 8 drops of ammonia. How much more should I add?

    The ammonia is very high?

I just did a 100% water change and tested the ammonia, it's between .25ppm and .50ppm. Approx. how many drops of ammonia should I add?

    The ammonia is very high?

I'm cycling my 5 gallon aquarium and I started cycling it on 9/14. On 9/14 I added 18 drops of ammonia, on 9/15 I added 18 drops and the ammonia was 3-5ppm, on 9/16 I added 18 drops of ammonia and it was 8ppm. I tested the nitrite and it was .25ppm or lower. Today (9/17) I tested the ammonia and...

    Tetras

You should be ok in my opinion. If you can, another filter would be even better for better filtration.
