    Canister filter selection question?

    Im looking into getting a canister filter and am just looking at the marineland c 360 or fluval 305. Just wondering if any one has some information. I here the 360 has leaking problems and the 305 looks easier with maintenance so I'm leaning towards the 305. Any help? It's for a 45 gallon...

    I have a 45 gallon in the taller side. 2x36W one at 6.5k and 10k. The reflectors are supposedly 160% more efficient but that's probably a joke, but idk.     I don't add aquarium salt, 20% change every week, feed fish every other day, 78 degrees, it not by a natural light source. It happened the day after I trimmed some of my plants back.

    I got a new lighting fixture a few months ago. They're 2x36W. I keep them on for 10 hours. I'm gonna turn them off now. I'm not sure it's excess nutrients because one of my plants was dying and I believe not getting enough potassium because the roots were turning. Idk though.
