I've tried an autofeeder before and hated it. I just have a friend stop by to feed my fish while I'm away (like this week!) I put some food in a baggie to demonstrate how much to feed the fish and I'll PWC and clean up extra food when I get back.

Don't clean off your ornaments until after you have readings confirming that your cycle has finished. Remember that the bacteria lives on surfaces, like the ornaments and the gravel. I would reduce feeding to every 2 or 3 days. Keep doing the PWC's every day until the cycle finishes! Cycle...

My fish run from the net and my hand. I've always been afraid of catching them with my hand, I'd think I'd drop them or hurt them somehow.

I'd never thought about it... I'd always just throw it in still frozen and let it thaw while the fish attacked it. I'll have to try the new method!
