Just saying as an example that everything can't be in perfect order. Some order is nice but perfection itself is hardly achievable in anything you do-unless you will be the only judge to that.
These forums are a hodge podge of everything. There are probably questions asked that have already been answered before but they keep being asked. It's unrealistic to enforce in these types of forums because of the volume, so I would just let it be like plants-you may want to grow faster...
Sorry to hear that. My tiger barbs occasionally poke the plants or scratch (hope it's not ich) but they don't get destroyed. I've never had your species of barb, so I would not know. Best of luck!
Rutrag or anyone else-I went to walmart found polyfil (100% polyester-see picture). Do you replace once it gets dirty or reuse by washing out? Also, it seems to be thicker wherein water would not go through as good.
Also, aquaclear uses a sponge-is washing it over and over just as good?
I bought 2-no attempts to eat. Just occasional poking. Do you have a planted tank? Do your mystery snails eat your plants? I specifically got nerite snails cause they don't eat plants.
Do they get along? I have 17 tiger barbs (regular, albino, and green) I'm starting to get brown algae on my anubias, wisteria, and aquarium glass, so I need an algae eating crew. Thanks for the input!
I'm tired of paying pet store prices and paying shipping for cheaper products! Any one have any suggestions for cheap bio or mechanical media that would be safe for fish and plants?
lThey labeled this as rotala indica at the LFS, but it has roundish leaves. Is rotala indica have more of pointed leaves? Help me ID this plant if the LFS is wrong any any care suggestions.

The LFS labeled as rotala indica but rotala indica seems to have roundish leaves rather then roundish as illustrated. Can anyone ID this plant and any care suggestions. Thank you!
