    Odd Hermit Behavior

I wouldn't worry about his behavior. Just one of the weird things that sea critters do... ;) and I would seriously doubt he's stuck in the shell. These guys have very flexible abdomens. Do you have bigger shells for him and his buddy to move into?

    Size of Clowns

The best way to get a pair of clowns is to buy them small. The more dominant of the two will become the female. If you buy adult sized clowns then there is the chance that you will have two females and they do not reverse their sex so you would have fighting going on. Unless of course the store...

Trying to decide if I should take my tank down

Back in 2004 I had a really nice reef tank die because of two hurricanes that passed through my area. The only things to survive were my yellow tang, an ocellaris clown, a snail and a shrimp. Everything else died. After the initial shock I tried to restart the reef back up but later on I...

    anemone

Having metal halides over the tank is great, but it would help to know the wattage too :D IMO, I would wait awhile before you get an anemone. They really do much better (have a better chance of survival) if the tank is mature, and the aquarist experienced. Give yourself and the tank 6 months...

    anemone

Carpet anemones get way too big for a 28g. Not only that but they aren't the hardiest of anemones either. First thing we need to know is what kind of lighting do you have on your tank? How long has the tank been up and running? How long have you been keeping saltwater? :)

    EcoBio-Block?

There was an article about it in one of the fish mags too.... Freshwater and Marine Aquarium, October 2008 issue. Last page, article by David Lass. He did this as a test for the magazine a product review type thing. Anyway he put the block in a tank that he's always had problems with - water...

New Red Tail Shark need some advice

Personally, I love RTBS. I've had two since I've been in this hobby. The first one I ended up trading back to the LFS when I reduced the number of tanks I had. The second one I had for maybe 6 years and it recently died. They will eat anything. Bloodworms, mysis shrimp, pellet food, flake food...

    How's it going?

Hi~ I'm new here but not new to fish. Been keeping fish almost 10 years. Right now, as of this very moment, I have 6 tanks up and running. That will change soon though, as I have an empty 20g sitting on the porch! HA! I have MTS really, really bad. I have tried to cut back on the number of...
