In the summer the koi will eat much more. 3-5 times per day as long as the water temp is up over 72. The colder the water the slower their metabolism. If the temp is below 50 you shouldn't feed them. Between 60 and 65 they should be able to eat 1 time per day. Feed them only what they can...
You might try shading it somehow if you can to see if it helps. Only other thing i can think of would be competing with the algae using fast growing plants. I have duckweed and frog bit in my aquarium that float at the top. Both of them grow very quickly and will take in a lot of nutrients...
I would probably check the bulb to make sure its still working and doesn't need to be replaced. You can also try to find out what is causing the algae and eliminate that. I've never had much of a problem with green water but other types of algae were easily controlled by balancing fertilizers...
The plants you have are fast growing plants in good conditions and in a 10 gallon aquarium may require a lot of pruning to keep under control. In my experience plants have better color and grow more densely when provided with the right nutrients (Lighting, Ferts, CO2..) What kind of setup are...
So with the new o-ring on and oiled and everything tightened it doesn't seem to be leaking with the soap test or the bucket of water test so i think it may be working fine now.
The psi of the tank rose to almost 1500 psi while it was in the bucket of water and then fell again to around 900...
I'll head to the store and refill the tank today so i can check for leaks with soapy water. I just read on a paintball forum that the paintball o-rings should have oil on them to seal properly and be replaced after every use. I'll try those things and let you know what happens.
