Thanks for the reply. The 50% water change was done 5 days ago. I am going to do another water change/gravel vac tonight. But your right, lowering the nitrate would help. I will test it again after this water change

upgrading to a 30g tank. I currently have 2 small three spot gouramis 2.5'' and 1 dwarf gourami. I was thinking some type of schooling fish and some bottom dwellers, rainbow shark or something. Sorta new to this so any suggestion is a big help
