I leave my shrimp molts in, one of the other inverts usually eats them. I have heard same as Salttanker, that it's better to leave them in for the nutrients. Hydra

Just an update....our little mummy crab (Matilda) seems to have let go of all her eggs... no sign of anything in the tank, so I guess we'll only know if anything survived if we see tiny crabs running around the tank. Thanks for all your messages, you guys are much more friendly that some other...

No probs, thanks for the inputs anyway, currently setting up a little tank for her to go into so hopefully she wont let go off the eggs until we get her moved Hydra

Thanks, will keep an eye on the little one, think we may also have a slightly bigger one that came in on the same rock. Don't have a sump yet, but that may change real soon....already looking to upgrade the tank! Hydra

Hiya, I'm new here, but love what I'm reading so far. I wonder if anyone can give me any ideas as to what kind of crab the below little critter is? It hitchkiked in on some Fiji live rock. It's quite small, about 15mm diameter. Thanks in advance. Hydra
