I have a 88 litre tank ( Hugo Kamishi) with a mixture of synthetic and real plants, a piece of wood and lava rock, sat on a bed of pure white spriver sand...I use a JBL filter, and 3 aerators attached to a Eheim 200,... I do 25% water changes every fortnight, and feed my fish twice a week...but supplement the flakes with banana, peas, broccoli, and blackberries ( only one once a week) ..I don't do ph checks, or any other kinds of checks...just st keep it simple...fish do adapt to extremes, ..now my community :
2 gold fish
4 Molly's
6 Danio's
2 weather loach
4 Amano shrimp
Evidence would suggest that after 4 months they are thriving and very lively...
My second tank is a 35 litre table top , currently on my landing...it had 15 tetras in at the moment, but I will add another 10 and 4 shrimp soon...
I use decent filtration media including purigen, which makes a lot of difference...both tanks are active and no casualties yet....
